Experience

• 1974- Member of the group working on a Handbook of Spacecraft Thermal Control Design Data, for ESA/ESTEC.
• 1975-1986 Scientific manager of the project on "Floating Liquid Zones" sponsored by the former Spanish Space Committee, which included experiments on board Spacelab-1, Spacelab-D1, and several TEXUS and parabolic flights. From 1987 on, researcher on the above project sponsored by the Spanish CICYT.
• 1986-1987 Collaborator on the ESA/ESTEC Contract "Preliminary design of a fluid science laboratory for Columbus".
• 1986-1987 Member of the Telescience Working Group on Columbus Utilization.
• 1987-1990 Collaborator on the ESA/ESTEC Contract "High Temperature Facility Technology. WP 9: Combustion experiment instrumentation".
• 1989-1990 Scientific advisor on the ESA/ESTEC Contract "Plateau Tank Facility for telescience experiments".
• 1990 Member of the first ESA scientific delegation to Russia for cooperation on Fluid and Material Sciences.
• 1992-2000 Member of the Scientific Team for developing the Fluid Science Laboratory for Columbus (International Space Station).

Brief: actively involved for more than 20 years in fluid science research within the European Space Agency (ESA).
